Read the Nexus: gold diamonds are persistent Nexus centers. Select one to see linked provinces and records. Darker/lighter shading follows loaded evidence; absent new records keep the last dated evidence, with dashed outlines. Geographic grouping alone does not identify a source of influence. Documented influence links are shown separately in violet.
Timeline complete. The map stays at 2026. Choose Birth of Jesus or an earlier year to replay.
✝ marks a sourced record that specifically names Christians targeted for their faith; it does not label every Christian victim or violent event. Actor badges use cited names. Violet curves show cited outside-influence links. Their 0–100 score measures source-link completeness, not probability or share of blame. Gold geographic connectors do not assert cause.
✦ Scriptural imagery · the descent of the stars
Press Start timeline and narration. Morning Star visibly leaves the floating cluster and lands at Pakistan during an eight-second artistic opening. Each following star has one primary Nexus and follows a slow curved path to it as the timeline approaches that Nexus’s selected date. The same star stays at its destination; it is removed from the cluster. City and regional detail records share their existing primary geographic Nexus. Historical dates and earlier markers remain intact.
Population matters: 100 deaths among 100,000 people and 1,000 among 1,000,000 both equal 0.1%, or 100 per 100,000. This dataset has no matched historical population denominators, so per-capita rankings are unavailable. Raw annual peaks are a temporary reference, not a ranking of genocides or a comparison of severity across eras. A valid rate requires a population estimate for the same place, period and population group as the deaths. Open a star’s linked records for its date rule, mean and median where available.
Reading this layer: the number 200 comes from 1 Enoch 6:6. Morning Star is one assigned motif in this artistic sequence. The 19 leader names listed in 1 Enoch 6:7 are used once each, followed by numbered “Unnamed Angel” labels; the text does not name all 200. The assignment order is an artistic choice, not a most-likely identification. Each primary Nexus keeps one assigned star. Unassigned stars remain in the cluster; no atrocities or future dates are invented to reach 200. Reaching a count of 200 has no established predictive meaning. Crowded names appear on hover or keyboard focus; zoom in to separate them. Their names, order and map associations are symbolic choices, not identifications in historical sources or evidence that angels caused these events. This layer does not change the map’s historical explanations, counts or source scores.

Eternity and the Revelation scene
This visual reading treats spiritual imagery as recurring across human history. Calendar years locate the historical records; they do not measure eternity. The Revelation scene is an undated artistic epilogue, available separately from the historical timeline. Reaching 2026 only reaches the end of the loaded timeline; it does not predict the Second Coming or establish that violence has ended.
Country shading is an annual total, not a claim that every place inside it was affected. The country selector filters event accounts only; Nexus points, city names, and civilization areas remain visible globally. Regional Nexus retain source names and fixed anchors. Continent and country labels provide orientation in every map. Zoom in or select a country for city and state/province labels. Pale labels and boundaries are modern references; gold labels are dated where sourced. Name changes use the new name from its transition year; open the label for the exact date when supplied. Their currentness varies, and they do not reconstruct all historical boundaries. Street detail shows today’s geography; historical labels remain attached to dated records.
